President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday hosted British Prime Minister Theresa May at State House Nairobi.

Kenyatta and May held a joint press conference in which they affirmed the relationship between Kenya and the United Kingdom.

President Kenyatta said the two countries have a long history of friendship and will seek to continue to do business together.

In his speech, Kenyatta also confirmed that the two countries have signed bilateral agreements including a security compact which will see the United Kingdom increase its support towards Kenya's fight against terror.
